Chan Krieger Sieniewicz created a plan for the Mid-Harbor area of Norwalk Connecticut, to ensure future balance among the many interests and demands acting upon this waterway, and to maximize the benefits it brings to residents and visitors to the city. The study area encompassed lands on either side of the harbor, which runs in a north-south direction connecting the Norwalk River to the Long Island Sound. One of the major goals for the Mid-Harbor is to link the many existing successful attractions around the water and to concentrate these-especially cultural destinations enjoyed by families-within a short radius around the already popular focal point of the water-side Maritime Aquarium.
