ALAN MOUNTJOY, AIA
Principal

Alan Mountjoy is a principal at Chan Krieger & Associates and Manager of Urban Design. He is a former manager for Boston’s Metropolitan District Commission.

Since joining the firm in 1997, he has led a variety of design efforts, including the Pittsburgh Riverlife Master Plan, which earned the AIA 2002 Institute Honor Award for Regional and Urban Design. Other projects include: a downtown development plan for the Town of Adams in Massachusetts; a master plan for the three-river waterfronts of downtown Pittsburgh; a master plan for Massport’s landholdings in South Boston; completing urban design criteria and landscape architecture for the reconstruction of a one-mile highway in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio;

Mr. Mountjoy received a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University.
