Chan Krieger Sieniewicz provided design and planning services to assist The Wheeler School, an N-12 private day school founded in 1889 and located in the historic neighborhood of College Hill in Providence, Rhode Island.
Current campus planning goals include: (1) expand campus facilities to meet enrollment demands, new program initiatives, and space deficiencies; (2) improve accommodations for services, technology, and access; (3) increase the efficient use of land while preserving open space; (4) improve opportunities for formal and informal common spaces to promote community, social activities, and quality of life on campus; (5) develop a design strategy that will maximize the opportunities of the site while responsive to the historic and residential setting; and (6) provide a process for decision-making that will support a capital campaign.
