The Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, the largest concentration of health care institutions in Western New York, comprises 100 acres of land. The Master Plan establishes a framework for long-term growth for the five major clinical and research institutions, which are expected to nearly double in size over the next 15 years. Through community-based workshops and joint planning sessions, the team collaborated with the two adjacent residential neighborhoods to devise complimentary planning and economic strategies that leverage development opportunities and integrate the campus into its host environment. Internal developments were orchestrated with adjacent neighborhood initiatives and the city's comprehensive plan update.
